5 Rabbit Cervecería in Bedford Park, IL is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, hardworking  brewer to join our production team.  This is a great opportunity with room for growth for the right candidate.

Position Type: Full Time, salaried


  • Wort production on a 30bbl brewhouse

  • CIP/Sanitization of fermentation tanks

  • Dry hopping and other cellar additions

  • Transfer and carbonation of finished product

  • Keg cleaning/filling

  • Yeast harvesting, pitching, and propagating

  • Package building

  • Bottling line assistance

  • Brewery maintenance/upkeep (cleaning, scrubbing, sweeping, equipment repairs/service)

  • Record keeping/data entry of process outcome

  • Participating in pilot recipe production and new product development

  • Participating in weekly taste panels and contributing to critical assessment of products


Desired Experience/Skills:

  • At least 2 years experience in a production brewery

  • Ability to operate a forklift

  • Ability to lift 60 lbs over your head

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently at the same time

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Mathematical proficiency

  • Mechanical proficiency

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong emphasis on organization and prioritization of time

As Cuentacuentos you will act as the ultimate ambassador of our brand and culture to the world. You will be 5 Rabbit. Your objective will be to achieve sales growth while maintaining brand integrity. It is required that you have fun while you are at it.  Passion for the craft beer and food industries, and a strong commitment to personal integrity is a must.

Achieve sales volume and growth targets

Effectively manage distributors; create strong relationships with distributor representatives

Develop new partnerships and placements; identify key partners and establish business with them

Create and maintain positive relationships with our partners. Always follow up, make our partners happy, with outstanding service. Under promise, over deliver. 

Make sure our beers are properly labeled, represented, stored and served to our standards

Develop and implement marketing and brand awareness programs to support sales, including promotions, food pairings, tastings, merchandising, POS, and special events

Proven results in sales and some industry experience

Availability to travel to areas outside of Chicagoland region

Availability to work a flexible full time schedule, evenings and weekend work

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age

Must have a good driving record and have a reliable registered, insured personal vehicle and ability to drive

Ability to lift and move cases of beer as well as lift/move kegs; ability to handle and use a dolly for higher weight kegs

Must live within the Chicago Area

Bachelors Degree preferred

Cicerone and or BJCP Beer judging experience preferred
